About me
I am a highly motivated individual keen to demonstrate further a proven ability at applying 23 years of experience in advanced technologies nurtured within Formula One and the Automotive Industry. In my short time at Blatchford Prosthetics I applied F1 technologies necessary for the design, development and delivery of the Endolite Blade http://www.endolite.co.uk/products/bladext for the 2012 Olympics. I am currently applying F1 technologies in small city cars for Gordon Murray Design. http://cleantechnica.com/2013/11/28/yamaha-gordon-murray-collaborate-motiv-city-car. In addition, this work has meant I am employed to consult to government and major automotive OEM’s with regard to lightweighting solutions for transport including road cars, trains, commercial vehicles, boats, bikes and trailers. I am a composite technologist capable of creating novel solutions to engineering challenges using materials common place in the aerospace industry and developing automated manufacturing processes necessary for mass production. I have a proven track record in developing teams of engineers and technicians capable of working to high standards, delivery on time and to budget. I have lead successful teams in engineering projects using every known composite manufacturing technique excluding filament winding. Wet resin hand lay-up, high pressure Epoxy spray, oven & autoclave pre-pregs, vacuum infusion, high pressure resin transfer, open and closed moulding, Pre-preg bladder moulding, Pre-preg/pre-form compression moulding and spray polyurethane techniques.
